Anti-Aging / Longevity

These terms are less about treatments and therapies and much more about lifestyle.

While we are unable to stop or even slow down father time, we can however reduce or eliminate the signs and symptoms that are frequently associated with the aging process.

Too many people assume that many diseases or conditions are inevitable and just a normal part of getting older. This is no more true than thinking it is normal for a teenager to get diabetes or an elementary school child to become grossly overweight.

The fact is that our body will respond accordingly depending upon how well we take care of ourselves. If you do not exercise, your muscles will become smaller and weak and your bones will be more vulnerable to fracture. If you eat junk food, your body will be lacking in essential nutrients which will weaken your immune system.

You need not become a victim to arthritis, cardiovascular disease, cancer, fatigue, diabetes, pain or weakness, insomnia or forgetfullness.

Our clinical experience and volumes of research studies supports the fact that aging does not have to associated with degeneration and disease.

Hundreds of scientific research studies clearly prove that modest interventions in diet, exercise, and lifestyle can significantly improve healthy function in old age.

Researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health have found that the anti-aging/longevity lifestyle  can add 24.6 more years of productive lifespan. The research team found that the longest living Americans are Asian-American Women residing in Bergen County, New Jersey. They live longer than any other ethnic group in the United States to an average of 91.1 years. The distinguishing characteristic of the Bergen County women is that they avail themselves of advanced preventive care, including preventive screenings, early disease detection, aggressive intervention and optimal nutrition, all of which are cornerstones of the ant-aging/longevity medical model.

In contrast, the Americans with the shortest lifespans are Native-American populations in South Dakota. Despite receiving free or low cost government provided medical care they live an average of 66.5 years.
